In the days 13-15 September there was a convent of Briard dogs breeders in our Resort.
The Resort was occupied by beautiful dogs staggering with chic and manners what is a pride reason for their owners. The convent seemed a great event for us, and it couldn’t be different because Rafa is an animal friend zone. The most impartial opinion is from convent participants. The organizer report below. VII Mopowisko Jeziorsko 2013

Everyone has seen a dog some time, but The Rafa Resort hasn’t seen that Mount of Briards yet.
Friday the 13th wasn’t unlucky at all because for us “Briarders” another Mopowisko – Briards’ owners convent started. Mopowiska are social meetings of Briards breeders, combined with games developing mental and psychical predisposition of this breed. Meetings are regular and take place twice a year.

The day schedule is very tight both for dogs and for people. The dogs were training with the instructor: plays with a rag for beginners and with teether and sleeve for advanced.

There were also some bravery trials for dogs used to work with an instructor. Socialization exercises, which are main program topic were about checking tolerance to gun shots and street situations. Each dog owner should prepare his pet for that kind of situations.
29 dogs took part in Mopowisko but not all of them were briards. We also hosted 4 beardet collie and 2 skye terriers. This dogs, whose owners are Briarders, are keen on participating all exercises in Mopowisko. Considering a fact that all animals were show dogs, we couldn’t miss handling lessons, which are instructions how to show the dog on the event properly. All adult briards are champions and the young ones just start their show career, so everybody were keen on taking part in mini exhibition organized for training reasons.

The Rafa Resort turned to be really friendly place not only for the dogs but also for their owners. Some surprise was fact, that there is a Briarder among the sailing Rafa family. That made the atmosphere really homely, because the Briarder will always understand the Briarder.

When the dogs were resting after a long day, the people were having a good time at the grill party till the very morning. The weekend in Rafa was appreciated by all Briarders. They hope the June VIII Mopowisko meeting will take place right here in Rafa Resort.
